|The best part of life is not just surviving, but thriving -- with passion and compassion, and humor and style, and generosity and kindness. Maya Angelou|
Hi there. On this page, you’ll get to know a little bit about my background, philosophy and what blows my hair back! As always, feel free to contact me and say hello, ask a question or share your stories.
I am a professional life coach, guide and life adventurer. It is my mission to coach people to tap into their greatness and really “make it happen” in their personal and professional lives, to live lives of purpose, satisfaction and great joy. It is what I am meant to do; my background and experiences have just been the ground work!
I know what my clients are up against because I have always been a dreamer and “wanted it all” myself: satisfaction, meaning, a life lived “on purpose”, work I love, fulfilling relationships, an abundance of laughter and fun, ongoing adventures…oh, and to be financially independent! I have discovered the value of defining success on my terms, simplifying, minimizing stress and struggle, and creating supportive relationships and the environments that facilitate the attainment of all the above. I know that’s it is possible and it begins with refusing to settle for the easy and the obvious. My integrity comes from walking my talk: In order to coach people to live their version of success, I must be pursuing and living mine.
I bring a varied, eclectic background to my work that includes: human performance, outdoor adventure, nutrition and fitness, small business operations, management, training and development, team building and facilitation, guiding, teaching and world adventuring. I have spent almost twenty years facilitating life ‘highlight moments’ for people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities.
My formal education is in human performance, leadership and adventure education (I hold a B.P.Ed from the University of Calgary). I’ve also got a degree in the social sciences, including history and philosophy. I am a graduate of Coach University and am a founding member of Coachville and the International Association of Coaches. I have spent my time exploring, discovering, learning, risking; life has been my greatest teacher.
My coaching style is insightful, supportive, fun and bold.
A few adventures I’m proud of:
A sampling of what I believe to be true:
I live in an out-of-the-way funky mountain town nestled in the Selkirk Mountains of southeastern British Columbia, Canada, with my husband, two amazing teenaged daughters and fiery little Border Terrier, surrounded by the peaks that fuel me and allow me quick access to inspiration and adventure.
I am grateful to be living the life I was meant for, with an abundance of freedom, flexibility and much joy and beauty. One of the sources of this is to assist others to do the same.
Coaching is my passion…possibilities are my inspiration.
